Trump names new NSA

WASHINGTON, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- US President Donald Trump announced, Wednesday, that he will name Robert O'Brien, currently serving as Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs at the State Department as the National Security Advisor (NSA).
"I am pleased to announce that I will name Robert C. O'Brien, currently serving as the very successful Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs at the State Department, as our new National Security Advisor," Trump tweeted.
He added, "I have worked long and hard with Robert. He will do a great job!" This comes a week after Trump fired John Bolton during which he had said he "disagreed strongly with many of his suggestions, as did others in the Administration" and therefore asked him for his resignation." (end) si.gta
