White House strongly condemns Taliban's 'cowardly' attacks

WASHINGTON, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- The US strongly condemns the Taliban's "cowardly attacks against the Afghan people," the White House said.
The White House shed light in a statement to the Tuesday bombings of the election rally in Parwan province that killed nearly 30 Afghan civilians, including women and children, in addition to the "suicide attack in Kabul near the Afghan Ministry of Defense and US Embassy compound killed more than 20 Afghans." It reiterated that President Donald Trump "has made clear that he will not negotiate a peace agreement while the Taliban continues such attacks." Earlier this month, President Donald Trump said he cancelled a secret meeting with Taliban leaders and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani at Camp David and "called off peace negotiations" due to Taliban attack in Kabul that killed an American soldier and 11 other people.
