Israel election exit polls show tight race - radio

RAMALLAH, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his main rival Benny Gantz are level with each other in the country's second national election this year, state radio reported on Wednesday, citing partial results.
Unofficial results in Israel's second election in five months suggest it is too close to call, showing Netanyahu's and Gantz's parties on equal footing with 32 seats each.
The Israeli Arab Joint List trails in second with 12 seats, while the ultra-Orthodox Shas party follows third with nine seats and Yisrael Beiteinu comes fourth, initial results showed.
A prime minister needs to command a 61-seat majority in parliament. (end) nq.nam
