Aramco's oil, LNG output drops by 50 pct. - Min.

JEDDAH, Sept 14 (KUNA) -- Saudi Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz said Saturday the drone attacks on the oil facilities of Aramco dramatically hampered the company's production of oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
According to initial estimates, Aramco has lost nearly 5.7 million barrels of oil or 50 percent of its daily output due to the attacks on its facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported, citing a statement by the minister.
The company will make up for the cut in its production through drawing from crude stocks to ensure stable supplies for its clients, he revealed.
The terrorist attacks also brought down the production of associated gas by about two billion cubic feet per day. The company uses this quantity of associated gas to produce 700,000 barrels of LNG, which means that the company lost nearly 50 percent of its daily LNG and ethane production, the minister added.
