Algerian PM affirms support to UN efforts to resolve Libya's crisis

ALGIERS, Sept 14 (KUNA) -- Algerian Prime Minister Noureddine Badawi on Saturday renewed his country's unwavering stance towards resolving the Libyan crisis.
He stressed that Algeria seeks to unify partners in Libya, the neighboring and sisterly country, so as to reach a peaceful political solution to the crisis and to maintain the country's unity, a cabinet statement said.
Badawi received UN special envoy for Libya Ghassan Salame, in the presence of Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum, it added.
The meeting is part of periodical gatherings held for consultation between the Algerian and UN officials, it noted.
Such meetings help share views and information on the current situation in Libya, it pointed out.
Badawi confirmed to Salame Algeria is providing unlimited support to the current efforts so as to find a political solution to the crisis as soon as possible, it said. (end) mr.hm
