Trump says Danish PM comments "nasty"

WASHINGTON, Aug 21 (KUNA) - US President Donald Trump said Wednesday that Danish Prime Minister made a "nasty and inappropriate statement" regarding his desire to purchase Greenland.
Speaking to reporters at the White House as he was departing for Kentucky, Trump said, on his decision to postpone his Denmark trip, "I thought it was a very not nice way of saying something. They could have told me no." He added "all they had to say was we'd rather not do that." "Don't say, what an absurd idea that is," he remarked. "She's not talking to me, she's talking to the United States of America. You don't talk to the United States that way." "They can't say 'how absurd," he remarked. "That's not the right word to use." On Tuesday evening, Trump announced he was postponing his upcoming trip to Denmark after the Danish prime minister said that Greenland is not for sale, calling the idea as "absurd."
