KUALA LAMPUR, Aug 20 (KUNA) -- Al-Quds Foundation Malaysia (QFM) launched on Tuesday the world's first online encyclopedia of Al-Aqsa Mosque "Aqsapedia" in multiple languages to spread and promote correct information about the mosque.
QFM Chairman Mukhriz Mahathir said at the inauguration ceremony that the encyclopedia provides everything related to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in terms of methodology and science -- in five languages; English, Malaysian, Arabic, Chinese, Indonesian.
The foundation is seeking to add a greater range of Asian languages such as Thai, Philippine and other languages, he added.
In response to a question by Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), during a press conference on sidelines of the inauguration ceremony, Mahathir stressed that the encyclopedia compiles information "agreed upon by all parties" advocating Palestinian rights.
The encyclopedia is one of the foundation's projects; edited by a group of researchers and experts headed by the Director of the Foundation and a specialist in Jerusalem studies, Dr. Sharif Amin. (end) aab.gaa
