OIC congratulates Sudanese people on transitional deal

JEDDAH, Aug 17 (KUNA) -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) congratulated the Sudanese people and political parties for signing the landmark transitional agreement, held amidst presence of dignitaries from around the world on Saturday.
OIC Secretary General Dr. Yusuf Al-Othaimeen, who was among signatories of the accord in Khartoum, said OIC hoped the Sudanese people would start a new life towards stability and prosperity.
He said the parties that signed the agreement proved to the world that the interest and security of Sudan was above anything else.
OIC, said Al-Othaimeen, was committed to helping Sudan. (end) nso.bs
