Sudanese military council, opposition forces officially sign transitional accord

KUWAIT, Aug 17 (KUNA) -- The military council in Sudan and the forces for freedom and change officially signed Saturday the transitional accord to create a sovereign council consisting of 11 members in a ceremony attended by regional and international officials.
On August 4, the council and the forces initially signed the constitutional declaration document, which paved the way for today's accord.
Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh is supposed to represent Kuwait at the signing. (end) maa.gta
