Arab states deplore Israel's plans for more settler homes in West Bank

CAIRO, Aug 8 (KUNA) -- The Arab League on Thursday "strongly" condemned Israel's decision to advance plans for 2,300 housing units in Jewish settlements across the West Bank, saying the move is tantamount to an attack on Palestinian territories.
"This is a flagrant violation of international law and largely undermines the two-state solution," said the Arab bloc's Assistant Secretary General for Palestinian Affairs Dr. Saeed Abuali.
He questioned the international community's "commitment to established principles of international law, saying Israel should face the consequences of its transgressions.
The official went on to assure the Palestinians of unbridled support in the face of Israeli hostilities. (end) mfm.rg.nam
