Oman to celebrate 'Renaissance' Day July 23

MUSCAT, July 22 (KUNA) -- The Sultanate of Oman will be celebrating its "Renaissance" Day on July 23 to commemorate Sultan Qaboos bin Said's ascension to power.
Sultan Qaboos bin Said started his reign on July 23, 1970, ushering a new age of development and progress for over 40 years in leadership.
The Sultan made sure to lay down the cornerstones for development in his country via a process of thorough planning and execution, enabling the Oman citizens to seek progress within the economic, social, educational, cultural, and health domains among other.
As progress was made on a national level, Omani citizens also focused on contributing to regional and international organizations, ensuring that all human beings and the world could seek peace, stability and growth.
