KUWAIT, July 20 (KUNA) -- The US Embassy in Kuwait will organize a second day for student visa issuance on August 6 due to high turnout on the first day, said US Ambassador in Kuwait Lawrence Silverman on Saturday.
In a statement to KUNA, Silverman affirmed that encouraging Kuwaiti students to study in the US is one of the embassy's top priorities.
The consular section at the embassy had completed hundreds of visa application appointments for students wishing to complete their studies at US universities, he added.
Ambassador Silverman stressed that the study at American universities prepares students for success in their careers, adding that it is possible for each student to choose between 4000 accredited and high-quality universities to meet relevant needs and interests.
He added that young students would join five generations of Kuwaitis who have studied in the US, who are now leaders in government, business and other fields.
The Ambassador pointed out that he and the representatives of the National Union of Kuwaiti Students of the US branch, received on the first day about 200 students at the embassy wishing them success and excellence. (end) nma.aa
