Trump says "no doubt" drone destroyed was Iranian

WASHINGTON, July 19 (KUNA) -- US President Donald Trump affirmed Friday that there is "no doubt" that the drone the US warship shot down in the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday was an Iranian drone.
In remarks to reporters at the White House, Trump said "there is no doubt about it. We shot it down." For his part, National security adviser John Bolton said "there is no question this was an Iranian drone and the USS Boxer took it out," saying "it was entirely the right thing to do." This comes as spokesman of the Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi denied today the claim raised by Trump on the downing of an Iranian drone, saying all Iranian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAVs) are intact.
Meanwhile, Trump was asked if he is concerned about potential for clash with Iran, where he responded "no, not at all. We have the greatest people in the world, we have the greatest equipment in the world. We have the greatest ships, the most deadly ships, we don't want to have to use them, but they're the most deadly ships ever conceived." "We hope for their sake they don't do anything foolish. If they do, they will pay a price like nobody's ever paid a price," he warned. (end) si
