Twenty-two Palestinians injured with Israeli occupation' bullets

RAMALLAH, July 19 (KUNA) -- At least 22 Palestinians were injured with live bullets by the Israeli occupation forces during the weekly anti-settlement march in Kafr Qaddum near the northern West Bank city of Qalqilya.
The march was launched in condemnation of the crime of targeting the child Abdul-Rahman Shtewi (10 years) last week with an explosive bullet in the head where he is still suffering from serious wounds, said coordinator of the popular resistance in the village Morad Shtewi in a press statement.
"The so-called border guards stormed the town and attacked rooftops of citizens and fired a heavy barrage of metal bullets and dozens of gas bombs, resulting in 40 injuries," he added.
Almost every Friday, villagers from Kafr Qaddum and neighboring villages organize a nonviolent protest on Fridays against illegal Israeli settlements, and to call on Israeli authorities to reopen the village's main road, which has been sealed by the occupation authorities since 2002. (end) nq.aa
