Arab League welcomes signing of Sudan power-sharing deal

CAIRO, July 17 (KUNA) -- The Arab League welcomed on Wednesday the political agreement signed between the Sudanese Transitional Military Council (TMC) and Forces of the Freedom and Change over a transitional phase in Sudan.
A statement by the Arab League hailed the "positive" step that is paving the way for the formation of the transitional authority and completing comprises to meet the Sudanese people's aspiration.
Meanwhile, the Arab Parliament in a press statement welcomed the agreement considering it a "historical moment" in Sudan's political march and an "important step" to a successful transitional phase to restore the Arab country's security and stability and achieve prosperity. (end) mfm.asm.aq
