BASRA, July 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Public Authority for Industry announced that the four Kuwaiti-Iraqi committees agreed upon earlier, will immediately start executing Safwan-Al-Abdali crossing project and the free trade zone.
The two sides discussed methods of tackling difficulties that may face the projects, with the presence of Kuwait's Minister of Commerce and Industry Khaled Al-Roudhan and his Iraqi counterpart Mohammad Al-Ani, the authority's Director General Abdulkarim Taqi told KUNA on Wednesday, on the sidelines of his visit to Basra.
On his part, Governor of Basra Asaad Al-Eidani noted that the crossing project is part of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's initiative to boost commercial and economic ties with Iraq, during his previous visit to the country. (end) md.ag
