CAIRO, July 17 (KUNA) -- Providing all-out support for the Palestinian cause is vital especially within the regional and internationally contexts, said a Kuwaiti Minister Wednesday.
Speaking to KUNA on the sideline of the 50th meeting of the Arab Information Ministers Council, Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Mohammad Al-Jabri said that the Kuwaiti leadership had been steadfast in its support towards Palestinian plight, which began in 1948 because of the establishment of the so-called State of Israel.
The State of Kuwait, affirmed Al-Jabri, will not be deterred from backing the Palestinian right for an independent state with Jerusalem as its eternal capital, indicating that resolving the plight of the people of Palestine will bring peace and stability to the Middle East.
Meanwhile, the minister touched on Kuwait's efforts in spreading notions of peace and stability worldwide through various organizations and institutes.
He indicated that Kuwait supports all initiatives for peace especially the one submitted by the UAE during the course of the ministerial meeting.
Within the Arab context, Arab countries should unite in their efforts to provide a positive media message that would protect heritage and culture and fend off attempts to import ideologies deemed as destructive for Arab identity. (end) ms.gta
