Intra-Afghan talks conclude in Doha

DOHA, July 8 (KUNA) -- Representatives of Afghani government, Taliban movement and civil society and the US have concluded after two-day talks in Doha for working out a roadmap for peace in the conflict-ravaged country.
In joint statement following the Afghan Peace Conference, they re-affirmed commitment towards preserving national unity and the state's territorial integrity.
They underlined the importance of achieving social and political justice for all Afghans.
They agreed that a sustainable peace in Afghanistan would only be achieved through comprehensive and inclusive intra-Afghan talks. They described Afghanistan as a unified Islamic state and a home to all its nationals regards of their race, sect, etc.
They called for preventing Afghanistan from entering into other wars. They also urged the international community to respect the Afghan values. (end) nnd.ibi
