Saudi Arabia raises concern over Mideast unrest

JEDDAH, June 25 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia along with a trio of nations have renewed their alarm over the growing tensions in the Middle East, blaming Iran's transgressions for the commotion.
Saudi Arabia, the UAE, US, and UK collectively condemn the barrage of missile attacks on the kingdom carried out by Yemen's Houthi movement, read a statement by a committee comprising the quartet, which garnered the Saudi Cabinet's approval.
The Saudi Cabinet reviewed US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's visit to Riyadh, where he discussed with senior Saudi officials matters of mutual concern, state news agency SPA cited Information Minister Turki Al-Shabanah as saying.
They deplored the Iran-aligned Houthis' frequent missile and drone attacks on the Gulf kingdom, which target innocent civilians and violate international laws.
The Cabinet urged the Saudi-led military Coalition to respond promptly and decisively to these "terrorist and criminal acts." (end) nsa.nam
