TUNIS, June 21 (KUNA) -- Tunisian Youth and Sports Minister Sonia Ben Cheikh announced on Friday the official launch of the Tunis Youth Capital 2019 event, which will last for one year in all Tunisian provinces.
"The Tunisian government is interested in supporting youth. During this year, many activities will be organized for Arab youth in all Tunisian governorates that cover various domains including health, sports, culture and development, spreading a culture of tolerance and openness and rejecting terrorism and extremism," she said during a speech in the opening ceremony.
The Tunisian minister pointed out that this event will witness the signing of several cooperation agreements between the Arab countries to support youth.
The official ceremony began with youth musical performances accompanied by the delegations attendance including the delegation of Kuwait, headed by Deputy Director General of the Kuwaiti Youth Authority Abdullah Al-Orifan. (end)
