Trump says "you'll find out" over response to Iran downing of US drone

WASHINGTON, June 20 (KUNA) -- US President Donald Trump repeated Thursday that Iran "made a very big mistake" by shooting down a US military drone, saying "you'll find out" the US response to the incident.
Speaking to reporters at the Oval Office along with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Trump stressed "this drone was in international waters, clearly. We have it all documented scientifically not just words. And they made a very bad mistake".
Asked about how will he respond, Trump said "you'll find out." He added "I imagine someone made a mistake" in shooting down the drone and that "we didn't have a man or a woman in the drone. It would have made a big, big difference." For his part, Trudeau said he is "very concerned about the escalation by Iran recently because we have a significant presence in the area." He added "we look forward to discussing... with our closest ally... and how we move forward as an international community." Meanwhile, Commander of US Air Forces Central Command Joseph Guastella said in a statement read at the Pentagon that Iranian reports that the US drone was shot down over Iran are "categorically false." He added "this was an unprovoked attack on a US surveillance asset that had not violated Iranian airspace at any time during its mission." "This attack is an attempt to disrupt our ability to monitor the area following recent threats to international shipping and free flow of commerce," he stressed.
He noted "this dangerous and escalatory attack was irresponsible and occurred in the vicinity of established air corridors between Dubai, UAE, and Oman, possibly endangering innocent civilians." Furthermore, the White House announced that National Security Advisor John Bolton will travel to Israel next week to meet with Israeli and Russian officials to discuss "regional security."
