Iraq's Prime Minster Adel Abdulmahdi
BAGHDAD, June 18 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's visit to Iraq tomorrow Wednesday is imperative not only for the two countries but also for the whole region, Iraq's Prime Minster Adel Abdulmahdi said on Tuesday.
In reply to a question by Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on the matter, Abdulmahdi said the Kuwait-Iraqi ties are at their best, pointing to several visits made by officials of the two countries for this purpose.
His Highness the Amir's visit to Baghdad in these conditions is an indicator of growing relations between the two countries, he stressed.
Abdulmahdi revealed that His Highness the Amir's visit witnesses key meetings, specially that His Highness the Amir's delegation includes a large number of state senior officials.
The two sides seek to boost the greed-upon matters between their governments over the last period, he stated.
The Iraqi Premier pointed out that they work on the pending matters one by one.
His Highness the Amir is set to pay a visit to Baghdad in a second official trip to the country since 2012. (pickup previous)
