RIYADH, June 18 (KUNA) -- Saudi-led coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen announced Tuesday shooting down two drones launched by the Houthi militias towards the Saudi province of Abha.
Coalition spokesman Col. Turki Al-Malki, quoted by Saudi nPress Agency (SPA), said that the explosive-laden drones aimed at targeting a residential area in Abha and was shut down at 10:37 pm and 11:47 pm.
Al-Malki stressed that the Houthis were targeting civilian installations and objects.
"We affirm our legitimate right to adopt and execute deterrent measures to deal with these hostile acts in line with the international humanitarian law," he said. (end)
