Qatar voices condemnation of Virginia deadly shooting

DOHA, June 1 (KUNA) --- Qatar on Saturday condemned in strong terms the deadly shooting incident in Virginia where at least people 12 people were killed.
The Foreign Ministry affirmed in a statement Qatar's unwavering stance and rejection of terrorism and criminal acts, regardless of motives and reasons.
It affirmed full solidarity with the US administration and the American people, wishing the injured quick recuperation.
According to media reports, a lone gunman fired indiscriminately at his workplace colleagues at a municipal building. He killed at least 12 people and wounded four before he fatally shot himself.
Authorities named the gunman in Friday's attack as DeWayne Craddock, 40 years of age. Craddock, killed in a fierce gun battle with police, was a current employee of the public works department of Virginia Beach.
The United States has often witnessed such incidents, either related to terrorism or carried out by mentally deranged persons. (end) nnd.rk
