Muslim leaders begin summit talks in Makkah

MAKKAH, May 31 (KUNA) -- Leaders of the Organization of Islamic Countries' member countries began summit talks in the Saudi city of Makkah Friday night to discuss a host of issues of mutual interest, including growing islamophobia, Palestinian cause and conditions of Muslims around the world.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah is heading Kuwait's delegation to the 14th OIC summit. His Highness the Amir also chaired the delegation to two urgent GCC and Arab League summits in Makkah on Thursday.
The Muslim leaders were expected to discuss means of unifying positions regarding a host of challenges facing the Islamic nation.
The OIC leaders are to discuss conditions of Al-Quds, Al-Aqsa Mosque, means of confronting terrorism and violent extremism, as well as a host of political, economic, cultural and social issues will be discussed by the leaders. (pickup previous) kt.bs
