Lebanese President meets Mp Eliot Engel
BEIRUT, May 24 (KUNA) -- Lebanese President Michel Aoun has underlined that laws in his country penalize all terror funding and money laundering activities and are firmly implemented.
The president made the remarks as he met US House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Eliot Engel, expressing gratitude for the US support of his country's forces in eliminating terrorism and achieving security and stability.
He urged US assistance once more in aiding the return of Syrian refugees, hosted by Lebanon, to their homes, read a Lebanese presidential statement.
Engel said the US stood ready to provide all forms of assistance necessary and support Lebanon's military. (end)
