GCC Secretary congratulates GCC leaders for 38 years of establishment

RIYADH, May 24 (KUNA) -- Secretary General of the GCC Dr Abullatif Al-Zayani congratulated the Heads of the GCC states and citizens for 38-year anniversary since the establishment of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
This came in a press statment by Al-Zayani on behalf of members of the GCC, heads of state and their citizens for the 38th anniversary of the founding of the GCC on May 25.
Al-Zayani expressed pride in the citizens of the GCC countries and their important achievements made to create coordination, complementarity and interdependence among the regional countries in all fields.
He also commended the GCC for the great wisdom and insight of its state leaders, which has paved the way towards its towering goals.
Al-Zayani stressed that the achievements of the GCC in various political, security, defense, economic, social and developmental fields enabled the Council to become a cohesive and well-established system in the face of difficult challenges facing the region and defend the achievments, characterized by distinguished civilizational achievments and high aspirations in the process of joint Gulf action.
He added expressing his pride in the high standing of the GCC at the regional and international levels for its active efforts and contributions to support regional and international causes and permenant presence and contributions in various international forums to provide all means of support and assistance to friendly countries.
Al-Zayani appreciated the support received by the General Secretariat and all its employees from the Supreme Council of the GCC and from the distinguished Council of Ministers asking the Almighty to bless the efforts of the GCC countries. (end) mdm.aq
