MOSCOW, May 21 (KUNA) -- Russia called on Iran Tuesday to refrain from any steps regarding the nuclear agreement.
Moscow is closely following the developments over the 2015 Iranian nuclear agreement, including reports that Tehran was increasing uranium enrichment by four folds, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
Iran announced yesterday its 3.67-percent uranium production capacity has increased by four times since Tehran announced it was suspending some of its activities related to the nuclear agreement.
Tehran's measures are withing the framework of the nuclear agreement and not violating its articles, it said.
It added all parties should preserve the nuclear agreement and avoid any escalation over Iran.
The Europeans have a great responsibility to boosting trade and economic relations with Iran, said the Russian ministry. (end)
