Yemen condemns Houthi ballistic missile attacks on Saudi Arabia

ADEN, May 20 (KUNA) -- Yemen strongly condemned attacks by Houthi militias who fired two ballistic missiles against Makkah and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia on Monday.
"The systematic attempts by the Houthis against the destination of Muslims is a grave violation of all religious, humane and moral values, as well as a provocation of feelings of Muslims," the foreign ministry said in a statement.
The Yemeni government and people will always stand by Saudi Arabia against whoever wanted to undermine the Kingdon's security and stability, it added.
The Saudi-led coalition supporting legitiamcy in Yemen said it destroyed the missiles fyling over in Jeddah and Taef.
Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki Al-Malki was quoted by the official SPA news agency as saying the Saudi air defense systems intercepted and destroyed the missiles. (end) sns.bs
