VIENNA, May 8 (KUNA) -- The Hofburg Palace in Austria is an architectural monument and an ancient castle dating back to the 13th century.
It was the residence of the royal family "Habsburg" for more than 700 years. In the Second World War 1945, it turned into the residence of the Republic's president.
The palace witnessed numerous expansion works over the centuries, including residential buildings, museums, churches, imperial library, treasury and national theater, as well as an equestrian school. (end) mah.gaa
