Saudi Arabia works with Lebanon to help refugees - Official

BEIRUT, April 24 (KUNA) -- Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief, stressed on Wednesday the importance of collaboration with Lebanon on ensuring offering medicine and foodstuff to the refugees in Lebanon.
Saudi Arabia has been backing development and humanitarian action in Lebanon, which is suffering additional burdens because of the presence of refugees on its land, Al Rabeeah told reporters.
Upon directives, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) will contribute to several programs to offering aid to Iraqi, Palestinian and Syrian refugees as well as alleviating loads facing Lebanon pertaining to this file, he added.
Al Rabeeah arrived in Beirut on April 22 on an official visit during which he met with some officials from Lebanon and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
The KSrelief is offering humanitarian and relief assistance to more than 37 countries, including Lebanon, across the globe. (end) kbs.sma.hm
