TUNIS, April 24 (KUNA) -- Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah discussed Wednesday with Kuwaiti ambassador to Tunisia Ali Al-Ali Al-Dhafiri ways to enhance media cooperation.
This came during a dinner banquet held by Ambassador Al-Dhafiri for Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij last night during his visit to Tunis.
During the meeting they discussed cooperation in light of the newly signed media agreement between KUNA and Tunisia's official news agency (TAP), which represent a new phase of media cooperation between the two countries.
Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij, who is also President of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA), said this agreement reflects the two sides' aspiration to support media cooperation and benefit from each other's successful and distinguished experiences.
It would also contribute to developing the work of news agencies, as talks with Mr. Khechana dealt with ways of developing relations between the two agencies and enhancing cooperation.
The KUNA chief also stressed the agency's keenness to cooperate with various media institutions to achieve common interests.
Both news agencies signed a cooperation agreement on Tuesday on the exchange of expertise, photos, training courses, visits, and coordination between KUNA and TAP in international and media forums.
The meeting was attended by Director of Marketing and Public Relations at KUNA Issam Al-Ruwaiyeh and members of the Kuwaiti embassy. (end) ksj.nhq
