Kuwait participates in Asian karate championship in Malaysia

KUWAIT, April 24 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's karate team will join the Asian Youth Championsh held in Malaysia for the first time since the lifting of sports suspension, said chairman of the Kuwaiti Karate Federation Emad Behbehani.
In a press statement, Behbehani told KUNA that the Kuwaiti team's participation in the tournament, held from 26 to 28 April, includes 23 players, including three girls, all of whom take part in different categories and members of the technical and administrative bodies.
The team is well prepared for this tournament through intensive training sessions, he added.
Behbehani expressed his hope that the team will continue its achievements and will reach high scores in this continental forum.
