VIENNA, April 23 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Center for Robotics, a sector at the Ministry of Education, won eight medals in Robot design, build, and programming on Tuesday at International Robotics Tournament known as (INFOMATRIX) held in Bucharest.
"This new international achievement will be added to Kuwait records in international competitions," Al-Kandari said to KUNA by phone.
Al-Kandari expressed his admiration for the participating team, which includes eight students from intermediate level schools, stressing, "this achievement is only a translation of the efforts of coaches and students throughout the past period leading up to the championship." Al-Kandari noted that the achievements by Kuwaiti students on more than one level "also come as a result of the Ministry of Education keenness to support students and stimulate their scientific creativity paving the way for their talents to shine and to be heroes representing Kuwait in a dignified manner globally." For his part, Kuwait's Ambassador to Romania Talal Al-Hajri congratulated the Kuwaiti robot team on this achievement and the "great international recognition" among 785 participants representing 37 countries in this "major international event".
Ambassador Al-Hajri wished more progress and victories for Kuwait and its students.
The Kuwaiti delegation includes eight students in addition to the coaches Abdulwahab Al-Qattan and Jassim Mohammad.
Infomatrix is an international computer project competition, born from a desire to bring the world's best IT students together.
