KUWAIT, April 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait and Mauritania signed a number of agreements in the presence of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, President of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, and Kuwait's Acting Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah at Bayan Place Monday.
On behalf of the Kuwait and Mauritania governments, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Mauritanian Foreign Minister Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed signed two cooperation agreements in media and arts and culture and a Memorandum of Understanding on mutual cooperation in the field of mutual foreign ministry activities.
Also, on behalf of the two countries governments, Kuwait's Minister of State for Economic Affairs Mariam Al-Aqeel and Mauritanian Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development Amedi Camara also signed an agreement on environmental and sustainable development cooperation. (end) amh.ss
