KUWAIT, April 18 (KUNA) - Kuwait SC handball team has been crowned champion of the local league competition for the sixth time in a row after beating Kazma 23-18 on Thursday.
Kuwait's players supported by coach Said Hejazi could snatched the trophy because of well-studied plans and backing players over the season. Kuwait is the only team who has not been defeated in the competition since 2013.
The championship started in 1966-1967 and eight teams out of 16 won the titles over this period.
Salmiya won the trophy 11 times, Al-Arabi 10, Kuwait nine, Kazma six, Qadsia and Sulaibikhat five each, Fahahil five and Khaitan twice. (end)
