Yemeni army advance on Saada

ADEN, April 17 (KUNA) -- The Yemeni National Army, supported by the fighter jets of the coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen, advanced on Kitaf wa Al Boqe'e District, north of Saada province.
Some units of the army carried out attacks, which helped the liberation of some sites in the district from the Houthi rebels, the armed forces' media center reported on Wednesday.
The assault killed five of Houthi militants and wounded some others, it said, adding that the rest of the militants fled and left quantities of weapons, and medium and light arms.
Meanwhile, the army's website said that the fighter jets of the coalition targeted reinforcements of the coup Houthi militias which were on their way to support the fighters in the district.
The attacks destroyed military vehicles and units, which were planning to strengthen the militias at the liberated sites. (end) sns.hm
