KUWAIT, April 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's major and historic role, as well as unlimited support for all efforts to resolve the Middle East crisis, is much appreciated, said UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Nickolay Mladenov on Wednesday.
This was recognizably eminent during Kuwait's non-permanent membership at the UN Security Council, noted the UN official. His remarks came during his meeting with Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah at Bayan Palace earlier today.
On his part, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled voiced appreciation to Mladenov's efforts in a bid to reach a just and inclusive peace in the region.
Recent regional and international developments were also discussed during the meeting, according to a foreign ministry statement. (end) hb
