Pentagon confirms death of two American soldiers in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON, March 23 (KUNA) -- The Pentagon confirmed Saturday the death of two American soldiers who were supporting Operation Freedom's Sentinel in Afghanistan.
The Pentagon said in a statement that both soldiers died on Friday in Kunduz Province "as a result of wounds sustained while engaged in combat operations." It added that "the incident is under investigation." This brings the number up to four American soldiers killed in Afghanistan this year. (end) si.bs
