Israel's fire injures 7 Palestinians S. Gaza

GAZA, March 21 (KUNA) -- At least seven Palestinian people were injured by Israel's live bullets and artillery at the eastern border, south of the Gaza Strip, said Palestinian Health Ministry on Thursday.
They have different injuries as a result of the Israeli army's fire, the ministry's spokesman Ashraf Al-Qedra said in a press statement.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army said that its soldiers detained two Palestinians who crossed the security fence, south of the Strip.
The army added in a statement that its artillery bombed a military checkpoint belong to Hamas movement, in retaliation for - as the army said - violence acts and burning balloons committed by Palestinians.
Tens of Palestinian young people have been demonstrating for the fourth day in a row at the Strip's eastern border.
They are setting fire to tires and throwing sound bombs at Israeli soldiers stationed on the border as well as firing balloons towards Israel's settlements in an attempt to put pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities to lift the siege imposed on Gaza. (end) wab.hm
