KUWAIT, March 21 (KUNA) -- Chief Executive Officer of the Silk City and Boubyan Island Development Council Faisal Al-Medlej has affirmed that the northern economic zone venture neither breaches the National Constitution nor the country's sovereignty.
CEO Al-Medlej, who was speaking to KUNA in reaction to recent remarks made at the local level, with respect of the key project.
He expressed hope that there would be full consensus between the legislative and executive authorities regarding the planned zone.
Such consensus serves interests of Kuwait and its people, under the sagacious leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, along with guidelines by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, he has stated further.
