Kuwait PM says ready to listen to youth thoughts, needs

KUWAIT, March 10 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Sunday called on the youth to give rein to their energy and zest for life in order to realize their aspirations.
Speaking at a meeting with youth entrepreneurs at Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center, the Prime Minister affirmed his readiness to listen to the thoughts and suggestions of the youth, meet their needs and remove any obstacles facing their aspirations for success.
The meeting, organized by the National Youth Project (Kuwait Is Proud) under auspices of His Highness the Prime Minister, gathered also Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh, and Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Mohammad Al-Jabri, as well as a number of other cabinet members and advisors to the Amir Diwan and the Prime Minister's Diwan.
"The Kuwaiti youth have to invest in their age, which is full of energy and zest, to realize their aspirations and dreams," His Highness the Prime Minister stated.
Affirming his government's commitment to facilitating the youth projects, His Highness the Prime Minister wished success for the entrepreneurs.
Meanwhile, Dr. Youssef Al-Ibrahim, advisor at the Amiri Diwan, noted that the National Youth Project came at the behest of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah with a view to introducing Kuwait Vision 2035 to the youth.
He thanked the government for supporting the recommendations of the youth project since it was launched six years ago, noting that the suggestions of the project are now 80 percent complete.
On their part, a number of entrepreneurs set forth their suggestions for realizing the development targets of Kuwait Vision 2035 (New Kuwait) in such areas as commerce, environment, management, technology, education and archaeology.
The concerned ministers and officials presented their respective views about these suggestions.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Al-Jabri announced the names of winners of the Fourth Kuwait Awards.
The awards, sponsored by His Highness the Amir, cover 10 areas of academic and scientific achievement.
In the field of jurisprudence, Nasser Al-Ajmi won the top award, followed by Harbiya Al-Azmi in the second place and Abdulrahman Al-Dekheel in the third, Al-Jabri said.
In the entrepreneurship field, Sadeq Qassem, Abdulwahab Al-Refa'ei and Khaled Al-Mutawa' won the first, second and third awards respectively, the minister noted.
In the field of science and technology, Suleiman Al-Otaibi, Rowan Al-Kandari and Asmaa Al-Ateeq won the first, second and third awards respectively.
In the media field, Mutlaq Al-Ameeri, Ali Al-Dhefeeri and Youssef Al-Abdullah won the first, second and third awards respectively.
In the field of architecture and urban planning, Sara Faisal, Abdulaziz Al-Ureifan and Manahi Adel won the first, second and third awards respectively.
In the educational field, Nora Al-Humaidy, Sara Al-Hosainan and Fatma Al-Shemmery won the first, second and third awards respectively.
In the sports field, Ali Al-Kharafi, Abdullah Al-Mezayen and Sara Al-Hawal won the first, second and third awards respectively.
In the field of culture, arts and literature, Dalal Nasrallah, Fahad Al-Qu'ood, Youssef Al-Baqshi won the first, second and third awards respectively.
In the field of health promotion, Abdulrahman Al-Qash'an, Mohammad Al-Azmi and Dr. Hadeel Al-Saleh won the first, second and third awards respectively while Zainab Al-Qarashi won the voluntary action award.
The cash awards are KD 10,000 for the first winner (some USD 33,000), KD 5,000 (nearly USD 17,000) for the second winner and KD 3,000 (USD 10,000), Minister Al-Jabri noted, congratulating the award winners. (end) fsa.gb
