BAGHDAD, Feb 20 (KUNA) -- Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi hailed Wednesday the special bonds and the huge prospects for economic cooperation between Iraq and Kuwait.
In statements during his reception of Kuwaiti Minister of Commerce and Industry Khaled Al-Roudhan, Abdul-Mahdi described Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations as special.
They overwhelmed by cooperation, good intentions and mutual desire to develop them in all domains to serve stability, development and economic prosperity, he pointed out.
The Iraqi premier said his country was moving steadily towards overcoming hardships of the past and removing repercussions of the devastating war.
Iraq now was focusing on rebuilding through cooperation with brothers and establishment of economic and trade partnerships for materialize the interests of Iraqi people and other peoples of the whole region, he clarified.
He expressed readiness to buttress cooperation with Kuwait and reinvigorate work at the border posts and offer all facilities for investors.
Abdul-Mahdi expressed appreciation for His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahamd Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's support for endeavors to expand cooperation with Iraq.
For his part, Minister Roudhan conveyed to the Iraqi premier the greetings of His Highness the Amir and his renewed backing to stability and rebuilding in Iraq as well all efforts exerted to help render Iraqi government plans successful.
He voiced Kuwait's desire to upgrade trade exchange with Iraq, engage the private sector of both countries and enter into mutually beneficial partnerships. (pickup previous) ahh.ibi
