CAIRO, Feb 18 (KUNA) -- Egyptian Government security forces have killed 16 terrorists in two raids targeting the gunmen hideouts in Al-Arish, northeastern Sinai, the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) said on Tuesday.
MENA indicated that the terrorists at these clandestine locations had planned attacks against vital installations and authoritative personalities in Al-Arish.
The gunmen, entrenched in one of these hideouts, opened fire in direction of the raiding forces that returned the fire, killing 10 terrorists.
The troops, separately, attacked a building under construction where six terrorists were killed. These gunmen had arms, ammunition and explosives in their possession. (end)
