KUWAIT, Feb 19 (KUNA) -- The success of the national anti-corruption strategy will be key for further recognition of Kuwait in international anti-corruption and transparency indices, said Chairman of Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) Counsellor Abdulrahman Al-Nemash Tuesday.
In a speech delivered at workshop launching the national strategy to boost transparency and fight corruption, Al-Nemash stressed that the plan will contribute to balanced political, economic, and social atmospheres in the country as part of the Kuwait Vision 2035 for development.
The public and private sectors play an integral part in the actual implementation of anti-corruption measures, which will eliminate bureaucracy and enhance overall development, said the top Nazaha official who indicated that he will be in contact with the cabinet to find means to implement the strategy.
On January 15-16, Nazaha held an international anti-corruption conference under the auspices of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the participation of the UN.
During the conference, Nazaha announced the launch of the national strategy against corruption. (end) ns.gta
