20 Palestinians injured by Israeli fire in E. Gaza

GAZA, Feb 15 (KUNA) -- At least 20 Palestinian people were wounded on Friday by the Israeli occupation army's fire during their protests calling for returning to their homeland and lifting the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip.
The wounded were taken to hospitals for treatment, Palestinian Health Ministry's spokesman Ashraf Al-Qudra said in a press statement. They were injured by live ammunition, he noted Thousands of Palestinian people took part in the 47th Friday protests, calling for improving their social conditions and returning to their land occupied in 1948.
Meanwhile, the Higher National Commission of Great March of Return and Breaking of the Siege stressed in a statement the continuation of the protests until the objectives are met.
The commission called on Egypt and the UN for further pressures on Israel so as to lift the siege and carry out different projects in favor of the Strip's residents.
Furthermore, the Israeli army said in a statement that 11,000 Palestinians demonstrated near the Gaza-Israel border, throwing Molotov cocktails, small explosive devices and grenades.
