Palestine Amb. lauds massive participation in "Colors from Palestine" contest

KUWAIT, Feb 10 (KUNA) -- Palestine's Ambassador to Kuwait Rami Tahbob on Sunday hailed the large student contributions to the "Colors of Palestine" drawing competition which was organized by the embassy recently.
This remarkable participation reflected sincere love to Palestine, Tahbob said at the prize-giving ceremony held today at the auditorium of Gulf University for Science and Technology.
He pointed out that the contest, organized in collaboration with the Kuwait Journalists Association and Kuwait's Ministry of Education, also showed Kuwait's support to Palestine and its people.
This is not a strange thing to a country led by a great leader like His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the main supporter to Palestinians and their struggle for independence and freedom, he said.
Tahbob extended sincere congratulations to His Highness the Amir on the 13th anniversary of his assumption of office and to the Kuwaiti political leadership and people on the upcoming anniversaries of the Independence Day and Liberation Day.
He wished Kuwait more progress and prosperity.
For his part, the competition coordinator Adnan Saad said that the event was meant to raise students awareness about other countries and people and their beautiful nature, culture, heritage and traditions.
It also shed lights on the strong and special bonds linking Kuwait and Palestine, he clarified.
Meanwhile, head of contest jury Abdulkareem Al-Enezi noted that over 10,000 students from different ages and representing public and private schools took part in the competition. (end) ays.ibi
