By Mustafa Al-Mreini RABAT, Feb 7 (KUNA) -- Mansour Al-Rashidi, a Kuwaiti skeet shooter, claimed the Grand Prix of the second Morocco international shooting championship that came to an end at Al-Fellin sporting club on Thursday. The championship, organized by the Moroccan Shooting Sports Federation in Sale city, northwest Morocco, gathered 220 shooters from 23 countries.
Al-Rashidi won the gold medal of the men's skeet shooting event with 56 points after fierce competition against Jack Fairclough, of Britain, won the silver medal with 54 points.
Egypt's Mahlaba Azmy scored 45 points and won the bronze medal.
In statements to KUNA following the award ceremony, Al-Rashidi expressed joy for the great achievement he made.
He attributed this achievement to the constant support from Kuwait Shooting Federation and Kuwait Shooting Sport Club.
Head of Kuwait mission to the international event Adnan Al-Ibrahim said the Kuwaiti champions often went to the podium at the recent regional and international shooting events.
The Kuwaiti shooters grabbed a lot of medals at the first Morocco international shooting championship, held last year, he recalled. (end) mry.gb
