16 people died of swine flu in Morocco - gov't

RABAT, Feb 5 (KUNA) -- The number of people who died as a result of swine flu (H1N1) in Morocco has risen to 16, the Rabat government announced Tuesday.
Mustafa Khalfi, answering questions of parliament members, said authorities registered 16 deaths while 36 cases were under medical examination.
Khalfi said health authorities have adopted preventive measures and the government launched a media campaign to highlight symptoms.
He assured MPs H1N1 medications were available at hospitals.
The World Health Organization (WHO) said seasonal flu in Morocco was not worrying, saying it was closely following the Health Ministry's preventive measures to address the disease. (end) mry.bs
