Tunisia extends state of emergency for month

TUNIS, Feb 4 (KUNA) -- Tunisia extended Monday a state of emergency, in place since an armed attack on security forces in 2015, for another month, the presidency said.
President Beji Caid Essebsi decided to extend the state of emergency nationwide until March 6, it added in a statement.
Essebsi decided to extend the state of emergency following consultations with the Prime Minister and Speaker of Parliament, added the presidency.
A suicide attacker blew up himself in a bus carrying presidential security guards on November 24, 2015, killing 12 of them and injuring 17 others. The attack triggered the state of emergency. (end) ksj.bs
